The Bar Council of India (BCI) released AIBE XI 2018 notification on August 1, 2017. All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XI was held on December 3, 2017 to assess the capability of advocates who want to practice legal profession in India. BCI had extended the last date of AIBE 2018 application form to November 13, 2017. The admit card of AIBE XI was expected to be released on November 20. Candidates were required to fulfill the eligibility criteria as specified for appearing in AIBE (11) 2018 including academic qualification and other essential qualifications. Candidates need to check the qualifications necessary for AIBE (11) 2018 as mentioned here. The applicants were considered eligible for AIBE XI 2018 only if they held an LL.B degree and were enrolled with their respective state bar council.
The results of AIBE (11) 2018 will be announced online tentatively in the month of February 2018. Candidates can check and download results of AIBE (11) 2018 by entering their roll number and date of birth through the official link provided here.
The BCI had announced application form of AIBE (11) 2018 on September 1, 2017. AIBE 2018 application form could be filled online as well as offline. The application form of AIBE 11 in offline mode were available at the official address through a window here. Candidates needed to apply before the last date of application, i.e, November 13, 2017 so as to appear for national level assessment exam. Applicants also needed to remit an application fee for successful submission of AIBE (11) 2018 application form. Candidates who had already registered for AIBE-XI, scheduled to be held on December 3, 2017, were able to upload their corrected documents till 9:00 AM on the exam day.
The examination for law profession was held in around 40 cities across India. Candidates were allotted the exam centres of AIBE (11) 2018 as per their preference marked while filling the AIBE 2017 application form. It is to be noted down by candidates that no AIBE (11) 2018 exam centres was changed once allotted and no communication regarding this was entertained by the BCI office.
Bar Council of India conducted AIBE (11) 2018 on December 3, 2017 in offline mode only. AIBE (11) 2018 was an open book examination. The AIBE 2018 examination was of 3 hours 30 minutes i.e. from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm. There were around 100 objective type questions in AIBE XI 2018 and for each correct response one mark was awarded. However, in case of wrong answers, no marks were deducted.
The Bar Council of India has released answer key of AIBE XI on December 4, 2017 along with question papers. AIBE 2018 Answer Key XI has been published in pdf format only. There were as many as four sets of AIBE XI 2018 question papers and BCI has issued answer keys of all these AIBE XI question sets. The BCI has provided an online window to file objections against the questions that might be discrepant. Candidates can claim their objections till December 15, 2017, till 5:00 p.m. The candidates need to mail their objections against the AIBE 2018 Answer Keys at email@example.com. The objections filed after the scheduled date will not be entertained under any circumstances. Once the BCI has gone through these discrepant questions/ provisional answer keys of AIBE XI 2018, a final answer key will be announced. However, no date has been announced for the release of AIBE answer key 2018 (final). Candidates can download the question papers and their corresponding provisional answer key of AIBE 2018 from the table given below.
The Bar Council of India issued admit card of AIBE (11) 2018 on November 20, 2017 in offline as well as online mode. Candidates were required to follow the specified instructions on how to obtain the admit card. Further, they should have downloaded the online AIBE XI 2018 admit card as and when it gets issued by the BCI.
