CMAT 2018: The result of CMAT has been announced on February 15. The computer based test was conducted on January 20 in two shifts. Based on the scores, the examination authority has released the All India merit list. Candidates are shortlisted for next rounds of selected based on their ranks and cutoff. Earlier, AICTE has released the answer key. The window to raise objections against the answer key was available till January 27, 2018. The test booklet comprised 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) from sections on Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness. Over 60,000 candidates have appeared in CMAT 2018. The exam is conducted for admission to MBA and PGDM Programme offered by the AICTE approved management institutes. The result of CMAT 2018 exam has been declared on February 14, 2018. AICTE has released the scorecard online along with the result and the candidates are required to download and print it. The candidates can check the result by logging in to their accounts using their log in credentials. The scorecards furnishes the total as well as the sectional scores of the candidates. On the basis of CMAT result, the candidates are offered admission in MBA programmes offered by AICTE-approved institutes.
CMAT application form was available online. Candidates have to provide their Aadhaar number while filling CMAT application form but it is not mandatory. CMAT application form can be filled in three parts. First, candidates have to register using their name, date of birth, email id, contact details and preferred exam cities. Submitting details, the login id and password will be generated. In the next step, candidates have to pay the examination fees and fill other details in the application form. Fee payment can be done online and offline which is Rs 1400 for general and OBC candidates while that for female, SC, ST and PWD category it is Rs 700. The candidates belonging to General category were required to pay Rs. 1400/- + Bank charges as applicable for any test centre chosen in India while the candidates belonging to Reserved categories were required to pay Rs. 700/- + Bank charges as applicable.
The fee was non refundable and could be paid either online via Credit Card/Debit Card/Net banking or through cash at any SBI Bank branch in India against the Challan generated online at the time of the registration.
The answer key of CMAT has been released. Candidates have to download CMAT answer key 2018 by entering email id and password. Candidates can calculate probable score based on the number of correct and incorrect answer.
CMAT scores are accepted by over 1000 AICTE-approved institutes across the country. After the announcement of the result, these institutes release their individual cutoff scores. Depending on their percentile and the cutoff marks of various institutes, the candidates can seek admission in these institutes. The candidates who meet the cutoff criteria are invited for the next rounds that comprise, Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). It must be noted that the cutoffs vary from institute to institute. Also, the cutoff scores are different for each category.
