The AIIMS PG entrance examination is an extremely prominent national level examination. It is held twice a year, for admission into January and July session. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has announced the exam and result for AIIMS PG entrance exam, for July session. As per it, AIIMS PG July session exam will be held on first week of May 2018 and the result of it will be announced on 2nd week May 2018. So far, only this much information has been announced by the conducting body. AIIMS PG entrance exam, for January session.


In order to apply for this deemed examination, it is obligatory to satisfy the eligibility criteria of it. These norms are determined by the official conducting body of the examination. The eligibility norms are the set of rules and conditions which the aspirant must satisfy.

The AIIMS PG eligibility criteria are as given below.

  2. Aspirant’s compulsory internship must complete till 30 January 2017. If it is not concluded till this date then the aspirant will be considered ineligible for AIIMS PG 2017 admission.
  3. Also, candidates must have MBBS degree with an aggregate of 55% (general & OBC) and 50% (SC/ ST).

This procedure consists of 6 steps namely:

  6. Registration slip generation
Application fee (Rs 1000) can be paid either online or offline as according to your convenience.
Steps are:
  1. Make registration for candidate id and password.
  2. Enter the qualification details accurately.
  3. Log in with candidate id and change the password for future log in.
  4. Check your details and click to continue.
  5. Pay the fee and must take the print out of its receipt.
  6. Download the registration slip and keep it safe.
Details once entered can never be edited. The fee will not be refunded under any circumstance.


The exam pattern will let you know the exact structure, type of questions and marking scheme as of the main examination. The candidate can prepare the best strategy to crack the papers with the help of the AIIMS PG exam pattern.

Total 200 MCQs will be there in the examination and duration of it will be 180 minutes for MD/ MS exam. MDS exam paper will contain 90 MCQs and total time duration is 90 minutes. 0.33 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. 1 mark will be given for each correct answer. No marks will be deducted for review and un-attempted answer.
