AP PGECET 2019 – Andhra Pradesh University conducts Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET) every year. The University holds the examination on behalf of State Council of Andhra Pradesh (APSCHE). AP PGECET is a state level examination, through seats are filled in PG Engineering courses, offered by the colleges in the state.
AP PGECET 2019 will be an online examination. Andhra University will release an admission notification for the exam. It is expected to be held in the month of May 2019. Candidates who wish to take admission in ME/MTech college in the State of Andhra Pradesh can start filling up the online application forms in the month of March 2019. GATE qualifying candidates are exempted from AP PGECET and for then a separate notification will be released. Last year, AP PGECET was held across 12 test centres, namely Anantapur, Bhimavaram, Guntur, Hyderabad, Kadapa, Kakinada, Kurnool, Nellore, Tirupati, Vijayawada, Vishakhapatnam, and Vizianagaram. AP PGECET 2019 will be conducted online only. All candidates must note that the primary preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates. And then if any vacancies left, will be allotted to the AP PGECET 2019 merit rank holders. The AP PGECET 2019 is yet to announce its dates for this year, candidates can have a rough idea regarding the dates, from the schedule drawn below.
Before applying for AP PGECET 2019, candidates must need to satisfy the eligibility criteria laid down by State Council of Andhra Pradesh. Candidates must have a minor degree(BE/BTech) relevant to the post graduation course(ME/MTech), one is applying for. He/She should be of Indian Nationality and should belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh. Candidate should have secured at least 50% marks and 45% for reserved category candidates from an AICTE/UGC approved institute recognized by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.
The AP PGECET 2019 Application Form will be available on the official website. Before filling up the application form, candidates need to fulfil the eligibility norms. Candidates will be first required to register with the official site, then mention all the necessary fields like the degree of the qualifying examination, hall ticket number, 10th class hall ticket number, places of study from 9th class onwards, caste certificate(if applicable), Income Certificate, good quality passport size photograph(50 kb in either jpg or jpeg format), ration card, Aadhar card and signature according to the specified dimensions. According to last year, an application fee of 1000 INR+ 59 INR processing charges ( 500 INR for SC/STs) needed to be submitted by the candidate through online mode.
AP PGECET 2019 Hall Ticket will be released online. Candidates can download the same from the official website sche.ap.gov.in. Candidates can log in with their credentials to view the same. The AP PGECET 2019 Hall Ticket ought to be preserved by the candidate not only at the time of appearing for entrance test, rather even at the time of admission to a particular course. Note that, candidates need to display their hall tickets to the examiner. Unable to do so, candidates will be debarred from appearing for the examination.
AP PGECET 2019 test centers have not been yet announced. Though, candidates can have an idea of where a candidate can appear for AP PGECET 2019 from the previous year test centers. The APSCHE had allotted 12 test centers, the previous year from which a candidate could have applied for, as per their convenience.

Let’s start by discussing the exam pattern of AP PGECET 2019.
After the Andhra University has conducted AP PGECET 2019 systematically, the authorities will be releasing the results and its qualifying marks. Candidates can check the official notification, stating the same. Last year, the minimum qualifying percentage required was 25%, that would precisely mean 30 out of total 120 marks paper. However, there would be no minimum qualifying percentage for candidates belonging to SC/ST category.
Soon after the AP PGECET 2019 Results are announced, selected candidates will be called for the last round of selection, that of a counselling. In AP PGECET 2019 counselling round, candidates need to appear for a round of personal interview along with a round of document verification. The higher the rank acquired by a candidate, the sooner he/she will be called. Candidates need to appear for the counselling round on the day and time allotted by APSCHE. GATE qualified candidates will be separately called for the counselling round. For counselling round, candidates need to pay a counselling fee of 1000 INR(500 INR for SC/STs), which will be a non-refundable amount. If candidates clear the counselling round, they will be asked to pay the course fee and freeze the seat allotted to them.
