History of AP PGLCET

The candidates should also note that AP PGLCET was earlier a single entrance exam through which all admissions to the Post Graduate law courses in state colleges and Universities in the state of Andhra Pradesh used to take place. But since the split in the states in 2014 and formation of Telangana took place, examinations also held separately state-wise namely, TS PGLCET and AP PGLCET. Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati was the centre for the last unified PGLCET exam in 2014 and since then, AP PGLCET exam is being conducted by Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapuramu.

AP PGLCET 2020 Important Dates

AP PGLCET Eligibility Criteria*Tentative dates; Subject to change

The law aspirants who wish to seek admissions to post graduate programme L.L.M, will have to first fulfil the Eligibility Criteria of AP PGLCET as laid down by the university. AP PGLCET Eligibility Criteria mentions that the candidates holding or appearing in LLB course are eligible for the same with 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination.

  • Only appearing in AP PGLCET will not confirm admission to the candidates. The candidates should satisfy all AP PGLCET eligibility criteria and also satisfy rules governing admission as are applicable at the time of admission.
  • The applicants who have obtained 10+2 or graduation/post-graduation through single sitting system directly without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for admissions into the law courses.
  • As per the Supreme Courts order, there is no age limit to appear in AP PGLCET.

AP PGLCET 2020 Application Form

The law aspirants interested to seek admission in the post graduate course LLM offered by Sri Krishnadevaraya University will now be getting the Application Form of AP PGLCET from March 9, . The candidates can get access of the AP PGLCET Application Form in online mode. Law aspirants are also advised to apply for AP PGLCET before the last date of the application form i.e April 5, . The candidates will begetting access of the AP PGLCET Application Form through their registered accounts wherein they will be required to register themselves for further procedures to take place. After the completion of the registration process, the candidates will be sent a registration number and password on their registered email id along with a validation link. After candidates fills the application form they will be required to remit the application fee in online mode using any of the convenient payment options Debit/Credit Card or through AP Online centres. The law applicants are advised to fill the application form of AP PGLCET before the last date so that extra fine does not incur.

AP PGLCET 2020 Admit Card

The law aspirants appearing in AP PGLCET and wish to download their admit card of AP PGLCET can get access of the same on April 12. After the online availability of AP PGLCET Admit Card, the candidates will be required to download it through their registered accounts of AP PGLCET . Candidates should also note that the admit card of AP PGLCET will only be issued to those who will fill the application form of AP PGLCET successfully. The law aspirants are advised to take a print out of AP PGLCET Admit card for future references and also follow the instructions inscribed on the back of it.

AP PGLCET 2020 Exam Pattern

The law aspirants appearing in AP PGLCET should take a look at the subjects on which they will be tested in the state level law examination. AP PGLCET Exam Pattern mentions the questions that will be based on Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, Public International Law, Mercantile Law, Labour Law, Crimes and Torts and IPR & other laws. There will be 120 questions of 1 mark each and the candidates will be given 90 (2:30 pm – 4 pm) minutes to attempt AP PGLCET . Candidates will be required to choose one appropriate option from the given four options which means that the Paper pattern of AP PGLCET will offer Multiple Choice Questions to the candidates.

AP PGLCET 2020 Answer Key

Sri Krishnadevaraya University will be releasing the Answer Key of AP PGLCET on April 22, in online mode. AP PGLCET Answer Key will be available to the law aspirants  along with the exam paper and the response sheets with the help of which the candidates will be able to cross-check their responses. Candidates also have the authority to file objection to any of the questions after cross-checking it with the official AP PGLCET answer key . After cross-checking and rectifying, the university will then release the final answer key of AP PGLCET .

AP PGLCET 2020Result

Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapuramu on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) will announce AP PGLCET Result on April 25,. The candidates appearing in AP PGLCET need to download result through their registered accounts.

AP PGLCET 2020Rank Card

Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapuramu will be releasing the Rank card of AP PGLCET by the first week of May . To download the same, candidates need to enter their Admit card/Hall Ticket number and take a detailed view of their score. Candidates who are not from the SC/ST categories will have to score a minimum of 25% out of the 120 marks available in the Law Entrance Test to be considered as eligible for AP PGLCET ranking.

AP PGLCET 2020 Counselling

Law aspirants shortlisted as per the rank list of AP PGLCET will be called to attend Counselling of AP PGLCET as per the schedule that will be announced by the university. Candidates will be issued call letters which will mention venue, date and time of AP PGLCET Counselling. Candidates are informed that they need to visit the AP PGLCET Counselling venue along with required documents for verification and well before on time.
