CMC Vellore PG 2020 – Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria or the rules to participate in the exam are necessary to be satisfied by the candidates who wish to appear in this examination. These are set by the conducting authorities and only the candidates satisfying them are allowed to appear in the exam and thus gain admissions to the courses available. The eligibility criteria of the exam of CMC Vellore PG are given below.

The candidates who have qualified the MBBS Degree are allowed to apply for the exam and the aspirants must have the degree of the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University or any other recognized University but it must be approved by the Medical Council of India. It is necessary that the candidate is a part of one year rotating internship. If not, the candidate cannot apply for the CMC Vellore PG Exam. The internship is a necessary step for registering with the Medical Council or the State council of India. Candidates presently in the second year of post graduate diploma training are also eligible to apply for the exam. They can apply for programmes such as Master of surgery and Master of medicine from the same subject. Candidates who have completed their DCP will not be allowed admission in the MD pathology program.

CMC Vellore PG 2020 – Application Process

The candidates who wished to get admitted to CMC Vellore were required to participate in the CMC Vellore PG exam for which they shall be required to register and fill an application form. Candidates could register online for this exam through the official website of CMC for which link is given below. Candidates are advised to follow the pattern given below and fill the application form before the last date.

Application fee payment is to be done by the candidate. The form shall not be accepted without the payment of application fee. Candidates are also required to send a self-attested photocopy of form and draft/challan. They must send them though candidates with name and application numbers to the registrar office.

CMC Vellore PG 2020 – Admit Card

The admit card of the examination was released 15 days before the exam, for all the registered candidates. It is only available online, on the official website. To download the admit card, candidates need to access the link above and submit the Application Number and Date of Birth in the required space. Consequent to it, the admit card will be displayed.

It is vital to take a print copy of the application form on the exam day. Without it, candidates will not be allowed to write the exam. Also, it should be secured till the end of the admission process.


CMC Vellore PG 2020 – Exam Pattern

The candidates who apply for this exam need to prepare for it well. For this, the candidates need to know full details of the exam pattern of CMC Vellore PG Exam. Candidates must carefully examine the exam pattern to know what types of questions are asked and how much marks each topic carries.   • There are two papers: General and Special paper.
  • No candidate is permitted to write 2 special papers.
  • The time duration of both papers is 3 hours.
  • The total number of questions asked is 240.
  • Candidate can write the general paper as per his/her choice.
  • Applicants are not allowed to write both the General paper and the Special paper for selection to two courses of the same speciality.

CMC Vellore PG 2020 – Result

The result of CMC Vellore PG exam will be released in the month of June-July 2020. The result will be published on the official website of CMC and candidates can download their score cards from there. The result will form the basis for the production of a rank list where the candidate shall be ranked according to the marks they secured. They shall be called for counselling on the basis of their rankings in the CBT exam. Exact dates have not been released yet, but they shall be released soon by the CMC.

CMC Vellore PG 2020 – Counselling

The counselling of CMC Vellore PG 2020 Exam will be carried out in the month of May 2020. The candidates who are able to obtain the cutoff score of the exam shall be called for the counselling where they will be required to present their choices of courses and their original documents for the purpose of verification. The dates shall soon be notified here when available. Candidates who pass the counselling process shall be allotted seats in the institute. The final selection list shall be released in the month of March 2020.
