CUSAT CAT 2020:
Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) will conduct CUSAT CAT on April 28-29 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm for admission to around 10 UG engineering programmes offered by nearly 30 member institutions. The application form of CUSAT CAT has been made available from February 7 to 28. Candidates who have cleared 10+2 or an equivalent examination from an institute in Kerala with minimum 50% of aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are eligible to appear in CUSAT CAT . The online exam of CUSAT CAT will be held in across 28 test centres in India and abroad. As per CUSAT CAT exam pattern, there will be two papers of 125 marks each and exam duration for each paper is 3 hours. Paper I will cover Mathematics while paper II will comprise questions from Physics and Chemistry in the ratio 3:2. CUSAT CAT result is expected to be out by the third week of May . Qualified candidates will be called for counselling based on the ranks obtained by them in CUSAT CAT . - Candidate must be qualified in class XII from Kerala or any other state with a fixed minimum percentage as given in the brochure.
- As per CUSAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria, they should have scored a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in English in class X and XII for B.Tech course.
- Diploma holder candidates are not eligible for B.Tech (Marine Engineering) course.
CUSAT Application Form
The application form of CUSAT has been released, on the official website. The candidates may avail it form the link above. To submit the application form, candidates need to register by clicking on the “New Registration” and entering the Name, Date of Birth, Age, E-mail ID, Mobile Number, You are registering for, User Name, Security Question and Answer. After registration, candidates will be able to fill the application form and submit details in it.
CUSAT Admit Card
The Assam CEE admit card can be downloaded online from the fourth week of May , until the exam day. Candidates have to enter their application number and date of birth in the applicant login window to download the Assam CEE admit card. Assam CEE hall ticket contains details such as candidate’s name, name and address of exam centre, date and time of exam and so on. Candidates must carry the admit card of Assam CEE with them on the day of exam.
CUSAT 2020 Exam Pattern
The exam pattern of CUSAT tells a variety of features about the exam, question paper and the marking scheme. Candidates can read the exam pattern as below:
- Candidates would be asked a total of 250 questions in the exam.
- Questions would be of class XI, XII syllabus.
- Subjects included in the question paper – mathematics, physics and chemistry.
- Distribution of questions – 125 questions from math, 75 from physics and 25 from chemistry.
- According to CUSAT 2016 Exam Pattern, type of questions asked in the exam will be of objective type/MCQs.
- Candidates have to mark one correct option from the given 4 options.
- Duration of the exam is 3 hours.
- Marks will be calculated using the formula 3R-1W, where R is the right answer and W is for the wrong answer.
CUSAT 2020 Selection Process
Candidates shall be selected on the basis of marks achieved by them in the CUSAT 2020. Thereafter, they will be assigned a rank accordingly. A merit list will be formed and counselling will be carried out.
CUSAT 2020 Result
The result of Assam CEE will be declared in the second week of June . Assam CEE result will be available only in the online mode. Candidates have to enter their roll numbers to check the Assam CEE result comprising the scores and ranks secured by candidates apart from their qualifying status. Eligible candidates who qualify the exam will be called for Assam CEE counselling and allotted seats based on merit. One must take a printout of the Assam CEE result and secure it for future reference.
CUSAT CAT Cutoff 2020
It is essential that candidates score equal to or above the CUSAT CAT cutoff score determined by the admission authorities to be eligible for admission. If a candidate scores below the CUSAT CAT cutoff score, he/she will not be considered for admission. A number of factors like availability of seats, difficulty level of question papers, and number of candidates appearing the test will determine the cutoff of CUSAT CAT . Also, each branch of the participating institutes of CUSAT CAT will have their own individual cutoff. CUSAT 2020 Counselling
The CUSAT counselling schedule has been released. The counselling will be held for all the qualified candidates. These candidates are required to register online, for the counselling. Registration can only be done through the login portal, link to which will be available at the time of the counselling. Registered candidates will be allocated seat according to their rank and availability of it.
