The DU MBBS admission will be done by selecting the students in the counselling round. The University does not conduct separate entrance examination for the admission  MBBS/BDS courses under 85% Delhi Quota. The University will utilize the rank / score of NEET UG -conducted by CBSE. Therefore it is mandatory for the candidate to appear in NEET to take admission in DU for MBBS program. The duration of the MBBS course is 4 ½ years followed by the year compulsory rotating internship training in the field. DU MBBS 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to pursue an MBBS or BDS course from the University of Delhi will have to fulfill the following conditions of eligibility:-

  • The candidate should be an Indian national or overseas citizen of India having passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognized school that is situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi;
  • The candidate is also required to have passed the Class 12 Qualifying Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English as compulsory subjects;
  • Only candidates who have completed 17 years of age and are not more than 25 years of age as on 31 December 2016 will be considered eligible for admissions. The upper age limit will be relaxed by five years for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Class category.

DU MBBS 2020 Application Procedure

The application forms for Delhi University MBBS Admissions are likely to be made available in the month of May. Candidates who wish to apply can either download the application forms from the official website of the University or purchase the same from the office of the Deputy Registrar of the Faculty of Medical Sciences. The cost of the DU MBBS 2017 Application Form is Rs.750/- (Rs.550/- in the case of candidates belonging to the SC/ST category). Applicants are required to pay this amount through Bank Draft/Banker’s cheque drawn in favor of the ‘Registrar, University of Delhi.

DU MBBS 2020 Selection Procedure

Candidates will be selected for admissions to the MBBS/BDS course on the basis of their marks in AIPMT. A separate Merit List will be compiled for this purpose. Only candidates whose names have been enlisted in the Merit List will be called to participate in the admission counselling process that will be held subsequently. To qualify for admissions, a minimum of 50% marks in AIPMT is required (40% in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Other Backward Class category).
