A brief on Jain Entrance Test (JET) 2020:

Jain University Admission 2020The Jain University has released the JET 2020 application form in online mode on November 18, 2019. The entrance exam of JET 2020 will be conducted by Jain University on April 24,25 and 26th , 2020 in both offline and online mode for admission to B.Tech programmes offered by the university. Candidates planning to appear in JET 2020 will have to apply for the exam by filling the application form and submitting it on or before the last date which is yet to be notified. However, it is important for candidates to check the eligibility criteria of JET before applying for the exam. In case, the eligibility criteria of the candidate does not match with the prescribed eligibility criteria of JET , then he or she will not be able to appear in the JET exam. Candidates are required to fill and submit JET application form  on or before the end prescribed date along with the application fee. JET Important Dates 2020

The university has provided some of the important dates of JET for candidates appearing in the exam. Candidates are required to keep a track of JET important dates to stay updated and not to miss on any event related to the exam. JET important dates have been compiled for all the candidates in the table provided below.

JET Application Form 2020

The application form of JET has been released on November 6, 2017 for all the candidates in online mode. Candidates are required to fill and submit the JET application form along with the prescribed application fee on or before the last date which is April 20, 2020.

Procedure to Fill JET Application Form 2020

 Candidates will have to follow the steps mentioned below to fill the application form of JET .

Step 1 – Registration

Candidates will have to register themselves first to be able to fill the application form of JET . The following steps have to be followed by candidates for registration.

  • Click on the link given on this page.
  • Candidates will have to create a new account by providing their username, email address, password, confirm the password provided, valid contact number and visible code.
  • After entering all the details, candidates will receive a confirmation on the email address provided by them.

Step 2 – Login

Candidates will have to follow the steps mentioned below to login:

  • Candidates will have to login using their email address and password.
  • Candidates will have to select the programme type as undergraduate programme, name of the programme as B.Tech or Bachelor of Technology and name of the course they want to enroll into.
  • After this, candidates need to submit the application form by clicking on “Create Application”.
  • The application fee for the course selected will be reflected and candidates will have to click on “Apply Now” to pay the fees.

Step 3 – Filling the details required

Candidates will have to enter the following details in the online application form of JET .

  • Name (as per class X marksheet)

Academic Information (Class X, XI & XII or Diploma if applicable):

  • Name of the institute in which the candidate has studied in Class X

In case, candidates have taken any competitive test they have to mention the scores of the test along with its name and percentage.

If the candidate has pursued his diploma course, then they would have to mention their Institutions name, board, total marks obtained, total percentage or CGPA and year of passing

Additional Information:

  • Candidates will have to provide the additional information like extra curricular activities, they have been a part of.
  • Candidates will also have to answer that how they know about the university.

Step 4 – Uploading of documents

Candidates need to upload the following things before submitting the application form of JET :

  • Passport size photograph
  • Scanned image of the signature
  • Scanned copy of class X marksheet
  • Scanned copy of class XI marksheet
  • Scanned copy of class XII marksheet (For passout students)
  • Scanned copy of degree, marksheet, final year diploma mark sheet

Note – The files uploaded have to be upto 500 KB in JPEG, PNG or PDF format

Step 5 – Preview and Editing

  • After uploading the documents, candidates can choose to see the preview of their application form.
  • Candidates can edit any of the information they have filled as incorrect or incomplete in the application by clicking on the EDIT button.

Step 6 – Making of payment

Candidates can make the payment by following the steps given below:

  • Candidates will have to click on “Pay Now” to pay the fees.
  • The payment can be made by any of the following modes – debit, credit card, net banking etc.
  • Enter the details required and make the payment.

JET Application Fee

The application fee of JET will be prescribed by the university for all the candidates. It is to be noted that application form has to be submitted along with application fee otherwise it will be considered as incomplete and hence will be rejected. JET application fee has been provided in the table below.

JET Eligibility Criteria 2020

The eligibility criteria of JET include certain parameters on the basis of which candidates will be considered for the entrance exam, otherwise not. Candidates can check JET eligibility criteria from the following points:

  • Candidates need to have passed in PUC or ISC/ CBSE or equivalent board to be eligible for JET. They must have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one i.e Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational subject and have  secured minimum 60 % and above in PUC/ SYJC/ 12th or equivalent exam to be eligible for B.Tech programmes in JET in the subjects taken together.
  • Candidates belonging to SC or ST categories need to have secured minimum 55% and above in PUC/ SYJC/ 12th or equivalent exam are eligible to apply for B.Tech programmes.
  • Candidates awaiting examination results of 12th or equivalent exams can also apply for the entrance exam.

JET Exam Centers 2020

The exam centers of JET will be the prescribed venues where the entrance exam will take place and candidates will have to visit them to be able to appear in the exam. Candidates will have to fill in the JET exam centers of their choice while filling in the application form of JET . It is advised that candidates visit their allotted JET exam center a day or two before the entrance exam to avoid delays on the main day. JET exam centers have not been announced as of yet by Jain University, the list will be updated here as soon as they will be announced. How to prepare for JET 2020?

Candidates preparing for the entrance exam need to know the right method to prepare for JET . The tips and tricks on how to prepare for JET  include exam pattern and syllabus of the exam which can be checked below.

JET Exam Pattern 2020

The exam pattern of JET will be prescribed by the university for the candidates. JET 2020 exam pattern includes type, number and pattern of the questions along with exam mode, language, total number of questions, marking scheme and time allotted to complete the exam. It is vital for candidates to know JET exam pattern to be able to prepare for the exam in an organised and better way. The JET exam pattern has been compiled in the table given below to be referred by candidates.

JET Syllabus 2020

The syllabus of JET will be based on Class XI & XII of CBSE for Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. JET syllabus will have topics and chapters from which questions will be asked in the exam, therefore, it becomes important for candidates to know the complete syllabus of JET .

JET Sample Papers 2020

Jain University does not release the sample papers of JET . However, if they do, JET sample papers will be updated here for candidates to practice better for the exam. The sample papers of JET will help the candidates appearing in the entrance exam have an idea of the question paper. Candidates will be able to work on their speed, efficiency and time management skills by practising JET sample papers and hence prepare better. The flaws of the candidates in terms of concept clarity and  understanding of the syllabus will also be highlighted if candidates practice JET sample papers in abundance.

JET Admit Card 2020

The admit card of JET will be released by Jain University from April 20, 2020 onwards. It is to be noted that JET admit card will be accessible to only those candidates whose applications will be accepted successfully. JET admit card will include candidates’ details like name, photograph, signature, exam name, date and timings along with name and complete address of their allotted exam center. It is important to know that entry without JET admit card will be restricted inside the examination hall. Candidates will be able to download JET admit card from this page by using their email Id and password.

JET Answer Key 2020

The university does not release the answer key of JET, however, if released this year, it will be updated on this page for candidates to check and download it. Candidates will be able to check their answers as marked in the exam with the ones provided by experts in JET answer key. Candidates will be able to calculate their scores by using the answer key of JET  and hence estimate their rank in the entrance exam.

JET Cutoff 2020

The cutoff of JET will be the minimum marks required to get admission in the university and course. JET  cutoff will be decided by the university for different categories like general, SC, ST & OBC and different branches of engineering like electrical, mechanical, civil etc. The factors responsible for making of JET cutoff  will be the number of candidates, previous year cutoff trends, difficulty level of the exam and number of seats in the university. JET cutoff will be updated on this page for candidates reference as soon as it will be released by the authorities.

JET Result 2020

The result of JET will be announced by the university on April 27, 2020 for all the candidates who have appeared in the exam. The name, roll number, marks scored and rank obtained will be reflected in the result of JET . Candidates will be able to check their JET result from this page by using their login address and password. On the basis of JET result, candidates will be considered for further admission procedure to B.Tech programmes  offered by the university, otherwise not.

JET Counselling 2020

Jain University will conduct the counselling of JET from April 28-29, 2020 on the basis of the candidates’ performance in the entrance exam which will be reflected in the result of JET . The qualified candidates of the entrance exam will be invited via email from the university to appear in the JET  counselling. Candidates will be given provisional admission based on their marks obtained in the exam during selection process of JET counselling . Such candidates will be required to produce a proof of having passed the qualifying examination. Candidates will have to produce the following original documents at the time of JET counselling.

  • Class X & Class XII/ PUC/ SYJC/ Equivalent exam (Original +2 copies)
  • 10 Passport Size Photographs
  • 10 Stamp Size Photographs
  • Transfer Certificate form school/college last attended (Original +2 copies)
  • Migration Certificate (Original +2 copies) (For Non- Karnataka Students
  • Caste Certificate and Income Certificate (Original + 2 copies) **If required
  • Parent/Guardian’s PAN card photocopy
  • Provisional Admission Offer Letter (Original to be collected from Jain University Admissions Office, Jayanagar 9th Block)
  • Provisional Admission fee receipt photocopy

Candidates will have to pay the balance fees at the time of the submission of original documents at Kanakpura campus.

JET Seat Allotment 2020

Candidates will be allotted seat in JET on the basis of their ranks obtained in the entrance exam and choices filled during the  counselling procedure. JET seat allotment procedure will be conducted by the university in offline mode. Candidates will have to be physically present to attend the seat allotment of JET , otherwise, their seat will be allotted to the next eligible candidate. The allotment of seat in JET will ensure the admission of the  candidate in the university.
