A brief on MH CET Law 2020:

The common law entrance test, MH CET Law will be held on April 22, for admissions to five-year integrated law programmes and for the three-year LLB programmes on June 17, . Candidates applying for three-year LLB programmes through MH CET Law have the opportunity to secure a seat from a total of 15040 seats across 218 colleges affiliated to 11 state universities. Further, candidates appearing in MH CET Law for admissions to five-year integrated law programmes have the opportunity to secure a seat amongst the 10060 seats on offer in 153 colleges of the state universities. MH CET Law will be conducted online where candidates will be required to answer 150 questions of objective nature carrying one mark each in two hours. History of Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test for Law programmes

MH CET Law Important Dates 2020

DHE, Maharashtra State announced MH CET Law Important Dates in a notification for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for law programmes released in the month of January . According to the important dates of MH CET Law , the application form for MH CET Law has begun for the five year integrated law programme. The common state law entrance exam, MH CET Law for admissions to five-year and three-year law programmes is scheduled to be held on different dates. The MH CET Law for five-year integrated law programmes will be held on April 22, , and that for three-year LLB programme on June 17. The results of MH CET Law will be out on May 7, for five-year integrated law programmes and in the month of June , for the three-year LLB programmes, along with the publication of MH CET Law merit list and release of the score card. Afterwards, the DHE Maharashtra will organise MH CET Law counselling between June and August, even as the classes at respective law colleges are to begin in the same month.

MH CET Law Eligibility Criteria *Tentative dates; Subject to change

The DHE Maharashtra State will specify MH CET Law eligibility criteria in the examination brochure. Candidates applying for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for programmes need to go through the eligibility criteria of MH CET Law which mentions academic qualification, minimum scores besides also provides information about the age criteria to appear for the undergraduate law programmes– 3-year LLB and 5-year integrated LLB. Candidates are advised to understand the MH CET Law eligibility criteria before applying for MH CET Law as if the applicant does not meet the eligibility of Maharashtra CET Law then the candidature may get cancelled at later stages even he/ she qualifies the state level law exam.

MH CET Law Application Form 2020

DHE Maharashtra has opened window for MH CET Law application form on February 23 which can be filled online and submitted until March 26,. Candidates are required to know application process of MH CET Law including online registration and fee payment. Before applying for MH CET Law , candidates need to register online by providing various personal details including name, date of birth, e-mail id and mobile number. Once a candidate has registered for Common Entrance Test of Maharashtra State law programmes, he/ she can fill MH CET Law application form along with uploading photograph and signature. Candidates also need to pay an application fee of Rs. 800 (Rs. 400 for SC, ST and Reserved Categories of Maharashtra State) in online mode before submitting the MH CET Law application form .

MH CET Law Exam Centres 2020

DHE Maharashtra has announced MH CET Law exam centres along with the examination notification. The law entrance examination wil be conducted in as many as  53 cities of different states. Candidates will be required to choose at most three exam centres for MH CET Law while filling the application form. The examination conducting body will be then allotting a MH CET Law exam centre as per the choices preferred by the candidates and the availability of the MH CET Law exam centre. No exam centre of MH CET Law can be changed once allotted by the examination authority. Candidates will be informed about their MH CET Law exam centres (test city) and their complete address through the MH CET Law admit card issued to them. Candidates are advised to reach their MH CET Law exam centres at least 30 minutes prior to the mentioned reporting time on the admit card on the date of examination.

MH CET Law Admit Card 2020

Directorate of Higher Education, Maharashtra State is to issue MH CET Law admit card on April 11,for those who are applying for five-year integrated law programmes and on June 1, for those who will appear for three-year LLB programmes. The admit card of MH CET Law can be downloaded through login account of Maharashtra State Law Exam. The MH CET Law admit card is considered as the hall ticket for appearing in the state level law entrance exam as it mentions candidature and examination details including roll number of the candidate, exam date and timings besides the address of the exam centre. Candidates are required to save a copy of MH CET Law admit card for future correspondence as no duplicate admit cards will be generated once the examination has been conducted.

MH CET Law Syllabus 2020

Candidates appearing for the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test law programmes are required to go through and understand syllabus of MH CET Law . MH CET Law Answer Key 2020

DHE Maharashtra may announce MH CET Law answer key after the state level law entrance examination has been conducted. The examination, however, is to be conducted online so there are minimal chances that the answer key of MH CET Law may be announced. MH CET Law answer key, if announced will help test takers in checking the correct answers to the state level law entrance exam and also their marks as per the answer key.

MH CET Law Result 2020

Directorate of Higher Education, Maharashtra is expected to announce MH CET Law result on May 7,for five-year integrated law programmes and in the first week of June for the three-year LLB programmes. The examination body will be announcing MH CET Law results for each of the law programmes– three-year and five-year integrated in online mode. Candidates can download their rank card along with checking MH CET Law results through the official link available. Candidates will have to provide their Common Entrance Exam Roll Number/ Registration Number to check the MH CET Law results.

MH CET Law Merit List (Rank List) 2020

DHE Maharashtra will publish MH CET Law merit list in the month of May for 5-year integrated law programmes and for three-year LLB programmes in the month of June . The Maharashtra State DHE will announce separate rank lists of MH CET Law or merit list for each of the undergraduate law programmes- three-year and five-year integrated law programmes. Candidates will be called upon by their secured MH CET Law merit (rank) as per the list for the counselling and admission process. MH CET Law merit list will specify candidates’ name, roll number, scored marks and merit obtained for the applied law programme.

MH CET Law Cutoff 2020

The examination conducting body will be calculating cut off for MH CET Law admissions. The test takers who secure more marks than the specified MH CET Law cut off in the state level law entrance examination will be called upon to attend counselling for admissions into the undergraduate law programmes. The MH CET Law cut off is the minimum marks required to seek admissions in the law programmes offered at various state colleges of Maharashtra state.

MH CET Law Counselling and Seat Allotment 2020

DHE Maharashtra will be holding counselling for MH CET Law from June, where the exam qualifying candidates will be called upon for Centralised Admission Process (CAP). The candidates will have to first register online through their login id for the MH CET Law counselling process. Once they have registered for online counselling of MH CET Law , they will have to provide their choice options for the colleges after which a list will be issued declaring the name of candidates, who have to deposit the fees at the respective colleges after undergoing document verification process. After the colleges have uploaded the status of seats along with the admitted students’ list, the remaining candidates will be offered another chance to participate in the second round of MH CET Law counselling. In this way, as many as six rounds of counselling will be held for MH CET Law .

MH CET Law Seats and Reservation 2020

DHE Maharashtra will be offering reservation benefits to candidates belonging to the reserved categories including Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Class. However, they should belong to the Maharashtra state, which means a candidate from any of these reserved categories but belonging to other state or Union Territory of India will not be able to avail the benefits and will be treated as General/ Open Category candidates. The following percentage of seats will be reserved for each of these categories –

  1. OBC – 27 per cent of total seats
  2. SC – 15 per cent of total seats
  3. ST – 7.5 per cent of total seats
