The entrance test for PU MET will be held for admission into the management programmes at University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS) and other Management Institutes affiliated with PU. Candidates applying for Punjab MET 2020 exam must assure that they fulfill the below listed eligibility criteria :-Eligibility Criteria for Punjab MET 2020

  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor Degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized University/College.
  • Candidates irrespective of their age can apply for Punjab MET 2020.
  • Candidates appearing in final degree examinations are also eligible to apply and can take the written test provisionally.

Eligibility Criteria (As per the discipline, candidates will choose to pursue MBA in).

MBA (Retail Management and Banking & Insurance Management).

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master Degree with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate in any discipline of Panjab University or of any other university which has been recognized by the syndicate as equivalent thereto.

Note –

In case of candidates, who will be possessing their Bachelor’s degree in Modern Indian Languages [Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi (Gurumukhi Script)] and/or in a classical language (Sanskrit/ Persian/Arabic) form Panjab University or from any other university recognized by the Syndicate, the 50% marks in the aggregate shall be calculated by taking into account the full percentage of marks in all the papers in Languageexcluding the additional optional paper, English and the elective subject taken together.

  • Or, the candidates should have passed final examination held by either (a) Institute of Chartered Accountants of India/England, or (b) Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India/England or (c) Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
  • Or, candidates should have passed AMIE examination with 50% marks or more after having passed the diploma examination with 60% marks or above. Also, they must have at least 5 years research/teaching or professional experience.

MBA (Information Technology, Telecommunications Management & Infrastructural Management)

  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology, i.e. B.E./B. Tech with at least 50% marks in the aggregate (in any discipline), either from Panjab University or from any other University recognized by Panjab University.
  • Or, candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in any Science subject with Physics and/or Mathematics with at least 50% marks in the aggregate, either from Panjab University or from any other University recognized by Panjab University.
  • Or, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications (BCA) with atleast 50% marks in the aggregate, either from Panjab University or from any other University recognized by Panjab University.
  • Or, candidates should have passed AMIE examination with 50% marks or more after having passed the diploma examination with 60% marks or above. Also, they must have at least 5 years research/teaching or professional experience.

MBA (Pharmaceutical Management)

  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, passed with at least 50% marks in aggregate, either from Panjab University or from any other University recognized by Panjab University.
  • Or, Candidates must possess M.B.B.S degree, passed with at least 50% marks in aggregate, either from Panjab University or from any other University recognized by Panjab University.
  • Or, Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in any Science, passed with at least 50% marks in aggregate, either from Panjab University or from any other University recognized by Panjab University.

Also, along with the degree, they should have done a Diploma in Pharmacy, passed with at least 50% marks in aggregate, either from Panjab University or from any other University recognized by Panjab University.

MBA (Hospital Management)

  • Candidates must possess any of the degree, MBBS/ BAMS/ BHMS/ BDS/ B. Pharmacy/ B.Sc (Nursing)/ Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), passed with at least 50% marks in aggregate, either from Panjab University or from any other University recognized by Panjab University.

Punjab MET 2020 – Application Fee

In order to apply for Punjab MET 2020 exam, interested candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fees of Rs. 1750/- (for General candidates) and Rs. 875/- (for candidates belonging to SC/ST category).

Application Procedure – Punjab MET 2020

The candidates intending to take up Punjab MET 2020 test are required to register online  and fill the online Punjab MET Application Form 2020 before the last date. Also, they will be required to pay the necessary application fees online and thereafter they must submit the printed copy of the online filled Application Form of Punjab MET 2020, either personally or under Registered Cover at the below mentioned address –

Note – The candidates shall not be allowed to make any change in the Application Form by way of any addition/deletion/alteration/amendment/change of any other particular etc under any circumstances, once they submit the application form in the University office.

Punjab MET 2020 – Exam Pattern

The exam will be held in pen-paper format (offline mode). The entrance test will be of 2 hours duration. The medium of examination shall be ENGLISH only. It will consist of multiple-choice questions, wherein candidates will be given with four responses to mark a correct response out of these four.

The components of the test will include

  1. General Knowledge.
  2. Economics and Business Environment Awareness.
  3. Data interpretation and problem solving.
  4. Numerical Ability.
  5. Verbal Ability/ Reasoning.
  6. English Comprehension.

Negative marking shall also be applicable i.e. marks will be deducted for wrong answers. If for each correct answer 1 mark will be awarded, then for a wrong answer 1/4 mark will be deducted.

Punjab MET Admit Card 2020

The Admit Card of Punjab MET 2020 has been uploaded on the official web portal of MET on March 2020. Also, for the convenience of the candidates, a direct link to download the same has been provided in the article above. The candidates are required to download the admit card online only, as these will not be sent via post or email. Candidates will mandatorily be required to carry their admit cards to the allotted test center in order to seek entry into it and to appear in the test. No candidate will be permitted entry into the test center without furnishing a valid admit card. The candidates must retain the admit card with them till the admission process is over, since it will be required again at the time of counselling.

Punjab MET Result 2020

The Result of Punjab MET 2020 will be announced online on April 2020. Also within 4-5 days of the conduct of the test, the Punjab MET 2020 question paper and the Punjab MET Answer Key 2020 will be uploaded on the University’s official website for the candidates to download. Using the answer keys, candidates will be able to calculate their unofficial scores (predicted).

Punjab MET Application Form 2020 – Requirements

  • Photo and signature must be less than 100kb in JPG or JPEG format.

  • Photo and signature must be in light background preferably white background.

  • The polarized and distorted photo will be not accepted.

  • Photo with sunglasses or with shadow is not accepted.

PU MET Application Form 2020 – Important documents

It is mandatory to submit these documents along with the Punjab MET 2020 Application Form otherwise it will be discarded by the official authority immediately. The list of obligatory documents is illustrated here.

  • Certificate of Qualification degree.

  • Mark sheet of 10th and 12th exam.

  • Reserved category certificate.

  • NRI candidates will submit GMAT scores, Princeton (USA).

Candidates who will apply for sports category will submit self attested copy of sports certificates

PU MET Application Form 2020 – Steps to fill

This Punjab MET 2020 Online Application will be filled online and then submitted on the address of the authority. The procedure of online registration and submission of the form is given here for the sake of convenience of the aspirants.

Step 1

  • Go to the link provided above.

  • Explore the application form related link.

  • Punjab MET Application Form will be loaded on the computer screen.

  • Enter all the requisite details in the Online Application Form of Punjab MET 2020 like:

Mother’s name
Father’s name
Date of Birth
Course
Mail Id
Choices of center
Gender
Category etc

  • Then, the candidates can download the SBI challan Slip in order to pay the registration fee i.e. Rs 1750 (general category) and Rs 875 (for reserved category).

  • Note down the application number for the further use.

Step 2

  • Pay the fee in any branch of SBI within one day after downloading and printing the slip.

  • Then log in and upload the photo and signature in the Punjab MET 2020 Application Form in the prescribed format.

Step 3

  • Enter the fee details exactly 24 hours after the payment of the fee. Details are:

Amount deposited

  • Along with this, upload the fee deposit slip in the Punjab MAT Application Form.

  • Check all the entered details and lock them.

Important Points

  • The PU MET Application Form will be filled only once and alterations such as addition, deletion, modification etc will be not allowed after submitting the form.
