A brief on SAAT 2020:

SAAT 2020 - Dates, Eligibility, Application Form, Admit CardSiksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) University has released the application form of SAAT 2nd January 2020 in online mode for all the candidates. To fill the SAAT application form, candidates will have to get themselves registered using a valid email id. The university will conduct SAAT in online mode from 2nd January 2020  for admission to 7 B.Tech disciplines offered by the university where only campus 1, 2 and 4 offer B.Tech courses. However, JEE Main qualified candidates don’t have to take SAAT for admission to B.Tech courses at campus 1; they will be eligible for direct admission. The admit card of SAAT will be issued in online mode to only eligible candidates. The entrance exam of SAAT will of 2 hours duration and include a total of 180 objective-type questions. SAAT will have negative marking, with 1 mark deducted for each incorrect attempt. The result of SAAT will be declared around the first week of May. Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech courses at SOA University need to meet the SAAT eligibility criteria as prescribed the university. SAAT eligibility criteria  includes qualifying exam passed by the candidate and also subject combination.

SAAT Eligibility Criteria

2 Subject Combination Physics, Mathematics have to be compulsory subjects in the qualifying exam along with any one of the following subjects: Chemistry / Computer Science / Information Technology / Biotechnology / Biology / Informatics / Statistics / Technical Vocational Subject  or any other subject approved by an appropriate authority. (As per AICTE guidelines)
3 Qulaifying Exam Marks Candidates must have secured minimum 45 % marks in the above mentioned subjects in their qualifying exam. For candidates belonging to SC, ST & OBC category minimum 40% is required.

SAAT Application Form 2020

The SAAT application form for the national-level exam is available in online mode from December 15, 2017 onwards. Before filling the application form of SAAT , candidates need to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria. Also, only genuine information must be used for filling the application form of SAAT , as otherwise it can be cancelled. The procedure to fill the SAAT application form is described below:

How to fill SAAT 2020 Application Form?

To fill the application form of SAAT 2020, candidates need to go through the following steps:

  • Registration – The candidate has to get registered using a valid email id. After entering the email id, click on “Submit” button. A code will be generated.
  • Validate email id – A validation  link will be sent to the registered email id. Click on the link to validate. Alternately, enter the code sent to the email in the field “Enter Verification Code” and click submit.
  • Fill the Application form – The candidate has to next log-in to new account and fill the SAAT application form. The application form of SAAT will have fields like personal, contact, course, and education details. To complete the application process, the candidate will also have to upload scanned copies of signature and photograph

Application fee: Applicants aren’t required to pay any application fee for SAAT .

How to prepare for SAAT 2020?

Candidates appearing in SAAT can’t afford to leave anything to luck. So, they must have in place a effective preparation strategy, which will include elements like revision, solving sample papers and previous years question papers. Additionally, the candidate also needs to know the syllabus, as it will help the candidate identify scoring areas and also weak areas that need stitching. SAAT Exam Pattern 2020

As per the exam pattern of SAAT , the entrance exam will be conducted in online mode. By going through the SAAT exam pattern, the candidate will be able to learn about key aspects of the exam like, the testing time, types of questions asked, marking scheme, and more. The candidate must base his/her preparation around the SAAT exam pattern . SAAT Syllabus 2020

Candidates who plan to appear in SAAT need to be up to date with the syllabus of SAAT . The SAAT syllabus will include topics and units that will be asked from the three subjects -physics, chemistry and mathematics. SAAT Sample Papers 2020

The sample papers of SAAT will include similar types of questions to the ones that will be asked in the entrance exam. The SAAT sample paper will be available for all three subjects covered in SAAT , physics, chemistry and mathematics. Consequently by solving SAAT sample papers , the candidate will be able to get a very clear idea about the difficulty level of the exam and distribution of questions.  SAAT Exam Centres 2020

SAAT is likely to be conducted in over 60 exam centres across all the major cities in India. While selecting a preferred SAAT exam centre, along with the name of the city, the candidate must also enter the corresponding city code. The candidate is allowed to choose a maximum of three SAAT exam centres ; the options must be entered in the order of priority. SAAT Admit Card 2020

The SAAT admit card will be issed for only those candidates who have correctly filled the application form in online mode on April 15, . To download the admit card of SAAT , the candidate will have to log in to their individual accounts using their registration ID and mobile number. Upon successful log-in, the SAAT hall ticket will be displayed on the screen. Before downloading the hall ticket of SAAT , the candidate must ensure that the data displayed on it is correct. Any discrepancy should be brought to notice of the Director, Admission, immediately. The SAAT admit card will include details like name, photograph, and address of the candidate, as well as roll number and address of test centre. The candidate must preserve the SAAT admit card until the admission process is over.

SAAT Answer Key 2020

The answer key of SAAT will contain the correct answers to the questions asked in the entrance examination. As such, candidates can match their answers with those given in the answer keys to get a probable score. Before comparing, the candidate must ensure that the answer key has the same paper code as the one they entered in the entrance exam; the typical paper codes can be A, B, C, and D. Also, it may be noted that considering SAAT is considered in online mode, the answer key was not available until the last exam. If this time around the SAAT answer key is released, it will be proved on this page.

 SAAT Result 2020

Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University, Bhubaneswar, will declare the result of SAAT online tentatively in the first week of May. To check SAAT result, the candidate will have to log in to the result portal using their SAAT application number and roll number. The SAAT result will display details like the name, roll number, category, and subject-wise and total marks obtained by the candidate in the entrance examination. B.Tech seat allotment at the three campuses of the university will be done based on the marks obtained by the candidate in SAAT .

SAAT Merit List 2020

To prepare the SAAT merit list, marks obtained by the candidate in physics, chemistry and mathematics in the entrance examination will be taken into account. The SAAT merit list will be prepared category-wise, meaning there will be separate merit lists for different reserved categories. It must be noted that candidates belonging to one merit list won’t be considered for admission under another. The SAAT merit list will have details like rank obtained by the candidate in the exam. The shortlisting of candidates for SAAT counselling will be done as per the merit list.

SAAT Cutoff 2020

For admission to various undergraduate engineering programmes offered by SOA University, candidates must meet the SAAT cutoff determined for that programme. The SAAT cutoff is the minimum score that candidates need to score to be eligible for admission; below the cutoff no admission will be offered. To determine the cutoff of SAAT , a number of factors will be taken into account like number of seats available, applications received for admission, and previous years’ cutoff trends. SAAT Counselling 2020

The counselling of SAAT will commence tentatively in online mode in the first week of May onwards. Only those candidates who get shortlisted based on the merit list will be able to participate in SAAT counselling. It must be noted that the counselling for candidates who have qualified JEE Main will be held separately. To participate in SAAT counselling , the candidate will have to enter and lock their choices within the stipulated time.

In case of candidates with valid JEE Main scores, counselling will be done separately for B.Tech admission at Campus 1.

SAAT Seat Allotment 2020

The seat allotment of SAAT will be done post successful document verification. The candidate will be offered seat based on the choices entered and his/her merit rank. Initially candidates will issued provisional seat allotment. The candidate will have to download the provisional SAAT seat allotment letter and visit the university for document verification and payment of admission fee. Upon successful document verification and payment of admission fee, the seat will be confirmed.

SAAT Reservation 2020

Candidates applying for admission to B.Tech courses at SOA University can seek admission under the category they belong to. SAAT reservation policy adopted by the university include reservation of seats for various categories like SC, ST and PH. In case of OBC candidates, no reservation of seats is done as per the reservation policy. Instead, OBC candidates are eligible for marks relaxation.
