SBI Recruitment 2020 – SBI PO (SBI PO Notification): Being a largest public sector bank in India, SBI PO recruitment notification will be released very soon by the State Bank of India on it’s SBI online website sbi.co.in. SBI PO 2020 Recruitment Notification
State Bank of India is the largest public sector bank in India. The organisation releases recruitment notice every now and then for diverse posts. Posts like Probationary Officer and Clerks recruitment’s take place once in a year.
SBI PO exam notification officially published by the bank itself. Local newspapers, websites, banking other websites, employment news and various other news papers publish the recruitment news as soon as SBI releases the notice.
Details such as application form, registration fee, eligibility, no. of vacancies, how to apply, application opening date and closing dates and much more necessary news are being published at the same time with the recruitment notice. This year there are 2000 vacancies available across the country.
SBI PO Recruitment: Exam Details
SBI PO recruitment requires several steps to follow. The job is attractive but the path is definitely not so easy to take here. Eligible candidates need to appear for the online preliminary examination and then main paper (online) on the selected date at the selected venue prompted by the SBI authority. The dates and the venue will be written on the Admit Card of the candidate. This is the first step of the recruitment.
If the candidate clears the 1st sets of examination consisting of several multiple choice questions and manages to get the cut-off marks then the candidate will be selected to appear for the GD or Group Discussion.
These two phases of examination will take place in two languages English and Hindi. No other regional language is available. There is negative marking in the online tests as well. So students must be careful before clicking on any answer. Attempt all the question when you are confident about the answer as negative marking can low down your total marks
After clearing the GD round, the selected candidates are required to appear for the Personal Interview which will be the last step before formal recruitment. The candidates, along with clearing these steps need to submit their previous college and school marks sheets as well.
SBI PO Eligibility Criteria 2020
Eligibility is very important in SBI PO or any other SBI examination. Violating eligibility criteria can lead to cancellation of recruitment process of that particular candidate at any time.
Age of the applicant must not be more than 30 years as of 1st April and not less than 21 years as of April . That is the candidate must not be born before 02.04.1987 and after 02.04.1996.
- Schedule Cast/Scheduled Tribe Category: 5 years
- Other Backward Class: 3 Years
- Person With Disability: 10 to 15 years.
- Ordinarily Domicile in State of J&K: 5 Years
- Ex Servicemen/SSSO/ECO: 5 years.
Students who have completed 3 or 4 years graduation or equivalent from any recognized university or institution in any subject or discipline are eligible for the examination.
There is no such marks criterion; however candidates must have passed the previous examination. Students who have appeared for the final year examination and waiting for their results can also apply for SBI PO examination.
SBI PO Application Form 2020
SBI PO Apply Online registration application form would be released for the candidates by the state bank of India along with notification. Below are the steps to follow to apply online for SBI PO exam.
- Application form will be available on SBI’s official website https://www.sbi.co.in/ from the mentioned date on the notice.
- After visiting the website check the ‘announcement’ segment for the recruitment news.
- Click on the ‘apply now’ button on the SBI PO Recruitment news.
- You will get the application form that will ask you to enter basic details like Name, gender, age, qualification, marks obtain, category and contact details along with some other basic information.
- Once you are done with filling up the form, click on the ‘save and next’ button and continue with the next page.
- Upload your scanned copy of photograph and signature (photo size not more than 50kb and signature not more than 20kb) and click on the ‘upload’ and then ‘next’ button.
- In the next page you need to make the payment online that is registration fee. For the general category the fee is Rs. 600/- and for the SC/ST/OBC/PWD fee is Rs. 100/-.
- The application form and money receipt copy will be generated that must be printed for future reference.
SBI PO Syllabus 2020 for Prelims & Main Exams
SBI PO syllabus for preliminary and main online tests along with exam pattern released.There are two phases of examination take place for PO recruitment.
Phase 1 SBI PO prelims exam consists of 100 multiple choice questions of 100 marks in total.

Phase 2 main exam consists of descriptive questions in 4 sections. The total marks for this phase is 200.

There is a descriptive paper consists of letter writing, essay and story writing of 50 marks.
SBI PO Admit Card 2020
SBI PO admit card to be released 10 days prior to the exam date. Registered applicants should download call letters by providing their registration number and password or date of birth. Admit card for the SBI PO examination will be available online 10 days prior to the examination. Candidates can download the admit card from SBI’s official website. Candidates need to login to the SBI website by providing roll number / registration number that is generated at the time of registration and date of birth as password to view and download the admit card.
At the time of exam candidates are required to present the admit card along with photo ID proof to the examiner. SBI PO admit card or call letter for online preliminary exam (Phase-I) will available to download from 10 days before the exam date. All the candidates need to download their admit cards in online only from the State Bank of India’s official website as the authority doesn’t send any hard copy of it through post. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the examination hall without a valid SBI PO call letter.
SBI PO Result 2020
The state bank of India will announce SBI PO results in 3 phases to select the suitable candidates. The result of SBI PO prelims, Mains and final interview round to be published as per the official schedule.
Candidates should pass in each section separately in prelims and mains to qualify for group discussion & personal interview. Moreover they also need to obtain minimum marks in the aggregate and these marks varies from general to reserved category candidates. Selected candidates in online prelims exam will be called for main examination followed by interview. At last, the state bank of India will publish final merit list based on their final scores in main exam and interview.
