VTUEEE 2019: Vel Tech Technical University is the responsible authority which organizes theVTU Engineering Entrance Exam (VTUEEE) every year. It is a university level entrance exam held for providing admission to various engineering courses offered by the university. Every year, a large number of candidates appear for this exam to take admission into the university. Admission will be strictly based on the marks obtained by candidates in the VTUEEE exam 2019.

VTUEEE Eligibility Criteria

The applicant should have passed or appeared in the 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination conducted by CBSE, ISCE, any State Board, the NIOS or the High School Certificate (HSC) Examination conducted under the direction of Cambridge University; Candidates who have passed or appeared for the two-year Pre-University or Intermediate Exam conducted by a recognized University or Board will also be permitted to take up the scholarship eligibility test; Candidates who will be appearing for the qualifying exam in April/May 2016 will also be allowed to appear for the Engineering Entrance Exam. Students pursuing a Full Time, Regular and Formal academic or vocational course from a recognized higher secondary school or Junior college as stipulated by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi will also be considered eligible to apply. The qualifying exam should have been passed by applicants with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects and Biology or Chemistry as optional subjects.

Applicants are also required to have secured a minimum aggregate score of 135/300 or 270/600 in PCM in case they belong to the General category and 120/300 or 240/600 if they belong to the reserved category. Candidates are also to note that the aggregate percentage will not be rounded off. Only candidates who have not attained 24 years of age as on 31 August 2016 will be taken into consideration. In specific cases, however, the benefit of age relaxation may be extended by the management.


Candidates will have to follow the steps mentioned below to fill and submit the VTUEEE application form 2019 online.

  1. Registration:Candidates will have to register themselves by entering the required details like name, email ID, and address for correspondence. Username and password will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID after the successful registration.
  2. Filling up the application form:Candidates will have to enter all the required details by logging in using username and password. The application form of VTUEEE 2019 will have to be completely filled by entering all the required details including personal details and academic details
  3. Image upload: The image of the photograph and signature have to be uploaded in the prescribed format
  4. Application fee payment: An application fee of Rs 950 will have to be paid online through Debit card/ Credit card / net banking.
Candidates must take out a print out of the duly filled application form for the future reference.

Candidate can purchase the application forms from the Regional Offices of Vel Tech with cash payment of Rs.950 By handing over a DD for Rs.950 in person at Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. The admit card of VTUEEE 2019 will be released tentatively in the third week of January 2019 for the first phase while for the second phase it will be released in the second week of April. Candidates will have to log-in using their application number and password to download the admit card. Candidates are advised to go through the details mentioned to check if they are correct before downloading the VTUEEE admit card 2019. The Vel Tech University Engineering Entrance Exam (VTUEEE) will comprise of three parts viz., Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The test will be for a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes and will consist of multiple choice questions only. While negative marking will not be applicable for the test, candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answer.


The authorities will conduct in person counselling of VTUEEE 2019 for the shortlisted candidates. Candidates will have to report for at the designated venue with all the relevant documents. The counselling for Phase I and II will be conducted in multiple rounds. The detailed schedule for the VTUEEE counselling 2019 will be notified by the authorities.

The seat allotment of VTUEEE 2018 is conducted by Veltech University in Chennai campus. VTUEEE seat allotment is organised as per the ranks obtained by the candidates. Shortlisted candidates have to report at allotted campus for VTUEEE seat allotment process. On the basis of All India rank, preferences of courses and availability of seats, aspirants are granted admission to B.Tech programmes. Candidates must carry all prescribed documents in original for verification along with two sets of photocopies. Candidates have to pay the annual fees through net banking/ debit card/ credit card or through Demand Draft drawn in favour of Veltech Dr. RR & Dr. SR University payable at Chennai along with a covering letter.

The Bharath Engineering Entrance Examination (BEEE) will be for a total 100 marks. The question paper will be divided into four constituent parts as indicated below:

  • Part 1-English, which will comprise of a total of 10 questions for 10 marks.

  • Part 2-Physics, which will comprise of a total of 30 questions for 30 marks.

  • Part 3-Chemistry, which will comprise of a total of 30 questions for 30 marks.

  • Part 4-Mathematics, which will comprise of a total of 30 questions for 30 marks.

  • The allocation of seats for admissions to various B.Tech degree courses will be on merit basis. The candidates in order of their merit can exercise their choice of discipline/course according to the availability of seats.

  • Those candidates who have been called for counselling will have to report for the same in person.

  • A candidate, who is unable to appear for the counselling in person under genuine and valid circumstances, can send his/her parent or guardian as authorized representatives. However, the allotment will be made to the authorized representative only if he/she has proper proof including an Undertaking and Authority Letter for Allotment, Proof of absence, the e-admit card of the candidate and the Left & Right Index Finger Impression of the candidate, in addition to the other requisite documents.

  • Candidates who fail to report or have already been allotted a seat in BEEE Stage I Counselling, will not be considered for Stage II Counselling of BEEE.

  • Candidates, who are yet to receive their Statement of Marks for the qualifying examination, will be allowed to participate in the BEEE Counselling process 2017, subject to the condition that they furnish an undertaking stating that the seat allotted will be forfeited, in case they fail the qualifying examination.
  • BEEE 2017 Admit Card.

  • Class X certificate as proof of date of birth.

  • Copy of the Class XII Hall Ticket.

  • Mark Sheet of the Qualifying Examination.

  • Transfer/School Leaving Certificate for pass outs.

  • Community Certificate (applicable for SC/ST candidates).

  • Four recent passport size colour photographs.
